This is my favorite Christmas song, always has been.

This post is later than normal because I wanted to go have a nice drive with a good cigar, and so I did. I hope everyone will have a good Christmas with their family and take the time to enjoy each moment. My parents moved to the bottom end of the state so we’ll be spending Christmas with my in-laws, and it’ll just be the four of us. I’m looking forward to it. My in-laws are great people.

You know what, the NFL scheduling people can suck my balls. There are a ridiculous number of early AFC games today that have a bearing on the Broncos’ playoff chances, but we only get a late AFC game. I’m so tired of their bullshit. I hope your ratings tank. Fix that shit. Get rid of the stupid Thursday Night games too, it’s not working. Everyone hates them. GET A DAMN CLUE ALREADY.

The one late game we get is Colts at the Raiders. I guess we need the Raiders to win, but I’d rather not see them win the division. And I’d guess that the Raiders will probably win this game anyway. On Fox, we get Vikings at Packers (meh) and Cardinals at Seahawks (double meh). And I have no cable so I won’t be watching the Bengals at the Texans, apparently.

As far as the Broncos, I’m still pissed off about last week. It was like we had John Fox coaching again. If you have 3 time-outs at the end of a half and a minute plus on the clock, YOU TRY TO DO SOMETHING WITH IT. You do NOT run one play and let the clock run out. If you give a coach like Belichick or Carroll or Tomlin that situation, what do you think they do with it? And that’s why they’re all serious playoff contenders with a history of success in the playoffs. (I mean, sure, Pete Carroll probably calls a pass play on 2nd and goal and they turn it over, but still.) There’s no excuse for what Kubiak did. And that’s why they’ll probably miss the playoffs.

Welp, I’ve got gifts to wrap, so time to turn on the game and get started. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
