My family and I had to spend an extra week in South Africa waiting for our green cards because somebody on the FBI’s most wanted list had a first name that was the same as dad’s second name (plus his last name was the same as ours). The FBI had to verify that my dad wasn’t that person, we sat for a week worrying that we’d not be allowed to return to the US because of this. This is what immigrants are subjected to so the vetting process is already pretty comprehensive.
