Interesting Volvo
Yesterday one of my shopping stops was my local Canadian Tire to look for a #0 Phillips screwdriver with a large handle instead of the usual small handles #0’s typically have. I’m finally starting on transforming the 1:24 Jada Border Patrol Charger into a RCMP Pursuit Charger, and the very small Phillips screws that I need to remove are very tight and hard to loosen with a small-handled screwdriver.
In the parking lot was this beautiful Volvo B18 Sport “Police Interceptor”.
I hung around for a bit hoping the owner would show up so I could talk to him about it, but alas, after 10 minutes or so he was a no-show, so I went in the store.
Mini Hawl
On the way home I stopped at a local pharmacy to buy my weekly lotto tickets (my retirement plan). In the same small building is a grocery store and a “Rewards” Department Store, a chain of stores just slightly above $1 Store class. I’ve never been in it, but I decided to take a stroll through this time. Lo and behold (does anyone say that any more, or am I older than I think I am?) they had a small toy section.
I found a HW Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione,
and a MBX Porsche 911 GT3.
They also had the first Siku diecasts that I have ever seen in person, which is really weird because I had never even heard of the brand before joining up here a month or so ago. They had mostly farm tractors, a lot of them, priced at Cdn$ 7.99. Is that a reasonable price for them?

In an earlier post someone commented that you could have your authorship revoked if you didn’t own at least one Red Baron. Here’s mine, an original Redline.
I also had the 1:24 plastic model if that makes me a super mod or something...
