Yesterday there was a community garage sale in the local arena, so I went to check it out in the morning.
The first table I found with any diecasts had a single Plano-style case of loose HW at $0.50 each or 3 for $1.00 This was the only one that caught my eye, a ’32 Ford State Trooper:
The second table also had a single Plano-style case of loose cars at $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00.
I was looking them over when the lady said she had some on cards she just hadn’t put out yet at $2.00 each. In with them was a single Johnny Lightning at $5.00.
My total with her was $15.00 for four carded ones, three loose, and the JL.
A Ford Thunderbolt:
An 8 Crate. I already have a dark red one, but I really like this in black over silver:
A Flying Aces ’33 Ford Roadster:
A second Flying Aces, this one a ’32 Ford:
That was it for the carded HW. I also picked out 3 loose ones:
Another ’32 Ford, this one a Hot Wheels.com version. This one made the third different ’32 Fords I picked up for the day:
A Turbo Taxi series ’57 Chevy:
And the Hi-Raker 1963 Spilt Window Corvette from my earlier post:
Get your detective on - identify this car for me
She had one Johnny Lightning, a Classic Plastic series ’69 SC/Rambler which I grabbed for $5.00.
After the various Chrysler group models, my next favourite N. American manufacturer is AMC, because they always had such quirky, often overlooked, but always awesome cars. I’m always on the lookout for more. The weird thing is that I just bid $11.50 and won this exact diecast (loose) last weekend. It should arrive in the next few days. Therefore, this one stays unliberated.
Later in the day when I was doing my shopping I found one interesting one at Walmart, the Race 2015 release of the BMW E36 MS Race to go along with my Race 2014 casting.
