The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP; French: Gendarmerie Royale du Canada (GRC), literally ‘Royal Gendarmerie of Canada’; colloquially known as the Mounties, and internally as ‘the Force’) is both a federal and a national police force of Canada. The RCMP provides law enforcement at a federal level in Canada, and also on a contract basis to the three territories, eight of Canada’s provinces (the RCMP does not provide provincial or municipal policing in either Ontario or Quebec), more than 190 municipalities, 184 aboriginal communities, and three international airports.

2014 Dodge Charger Enforcer
The Dodge Charger Enforcer features performance suspension tuning, heavy-duty anti-lock vented-disc brakes (ABS), front- and rear-stabilizer bars, 18-inch performance tires on steel wheels, and two-mode police-specific Electronic Stability Control (ESC) calibration, allowing the police to be ahead of the game when chasing the bad guys.
For the interior, the Charger Enforcer adds a Police Interface Module for easy equipment integration, police-duty front seats, column-mounted automatic transmission with Auto Stick, red/white LED interior lighting for night-vision equipment and more.
Under the hood, there is a standard E-85 capable 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, or if that’s not enough, there’s an available 5.7L HEMI V8 engine with fuel-saving Multi-displacement System (MDS).
The Dodge Charger Enforcer is also available with the most advanced all-wheel-drive (AWD) system in the segment, to deliver maximum all-weather traction and fuel-efficiency. Segment-exclusive active transfer case and front-axle-disconnect system automatically enables AWD for slick conditions, while maintaining the outstanding performance and handling inherent in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) architecture. It is based on the record-setting RWD model that set the fastest-ever lap time in the Michigan State Police’s Vehicle Evaluation Test history (1:33.70).
The Musical Ride
The Musical Ride of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is a formal event showcasing the equestrian skills performed by 32 cavalry who are regular members of the force. The event is held in Canada and worldwide to promote the RCMP. The first official ride was held in 1887 in Regina, District of Assiniboia, and commanded by Inspector William George Matthews.
