Diecast Show & Shine

Today was the first Show & Shine of my season. It was at a Canadian Tire in Halifax (about an hour away), so I took the opportunity to swing by the biggest Walmart Supercenter in the city and was a bad boy. Huge hawl that I’ll post pictures of later...

This post, though, is about the S&S. Don’t worry, there’s a diecast tie-in here.

Everyone loves 510’s:

“Full Automatic” as opposed to empty, I guess?

See, there it is on the dash in case you didn’t spot it in the first three pics. ;-)

Look close, there’s one on my dash too. The Rabbit pickup parked beside me was a 1981 TD with a professionally built race diesel under the hood. It was an immaculate daily driver.

No diecast here, just a 1981 TVR Tasmin. The convertible top was just on a pivot and swung up to enclose the small area behind the passengers (and can be driven with it up that way) and there’s a hard targa panel that then latches in overt their heads. I forget how many he said there were in Canada, but they can be counted on one finger (JK, the number was in single digits). He showed up at Canadian Tire in it, just out for a drive, and found a car show going on so he was falling all over himself apologizing for it being “dirty”.

There were a lot of very nice cars there and a couple of OMG outstanding cars. Once I get my pics uploaded to Photobucket, I’m going to create a post on my Blue2010SRT blog if you want to check it out.
