Walmart Hawl

As I mentioned in my Diecast Show & Shine post, prior to the S&S I went to one of the Walmart Supercenters in Halifax. There are four of them in Halifax, and I’ve been to this particular one a couple times before. It’s selection is far better than the other three - the diecast isle is twice as big. I won’t even bother with the others any time I’m in Halifax anymore.

It’s also near a TRU that has an absolutely lousy diecast selection. I’ve tried there twice and won’t bother going back.

Yesterday the Walmart had the Greenlight 1:43 Fast & Furious line on the shelves. They looked nice, but not CAD$ 19.99 nice, so I passed on them. After reconsidering, I’ll probably pick up the 1970 Charger and the 1993 Mazda RX-7 the next time I see them.

However, I did go way overboard on my budget and bought 30 HW’s.

I picked up a 2nd Charger Drift in black to liberate. That gives me 2 black and 2 blue, one DLM’d of each colour.

I got the #1 & #8 “50 Years of Mustang” cars to complete the set.

I nabbed another Porsche Collection 993 GT2 to liberate because it called out to me to free it.

I grabbed a 2008 Lancer Evo and Scion XB Colour Shifters - I didn’t necessarily want them in CS, but that was my only option.

I picked up a few others that were just cool (IMO), including a 2nd Loopster - they only had two; I may pick up a third sometime just to make a chain of 3.

Some of these were just interesting, the Ice Shredder & Let’s GO; others were had-to-haves. I had the Esprit in red, so the white completes the colour variations. Ditto with the Huracan; I had the yellow already, but really prefer the green.

And I picked up duplicates of the ones of which they had multiples that I thought might have some interest for iHWEP’s, including two C7.R’s.
