As I had mentioned in a previous post, my parents recently celebrated their 60th anniversary and I had family home from all across Canada for that momentous occasion. Yesterday I drove my sister and brother-in-law to the Halifax airport (120km away) for their 4400km flight back home to Vancouver. On the drive back home after dropping them off, all I could think about was how good some of those Alexander Keiths India Pale Ales chillin’ in the fridge were going to taste. As I arrived home I stopped to check the mail. To my delight, I discovered that my portion of the IHWEP between Tinfoil Hat (iaT.NWAT) & I had arrived. This IHWEP was a distance of approximately 17,500 kms (flying distance from Halifax to Melbourne). Gotta be a record or close to it.
I hurried parked the car... (archive photo)
And ran inside to open my new delivery...
Woo-hoo! I see bubble-packs for my cat!
My cat apparently not so excited about her new soon-to-be-shredded toy.
Huh, what’s this on the left???
It’s a RAOK souvenir beer cozy! Too Cool! I was so excited to open the package that I completely forgot how much I was looking forward to one of those beer in my fridge!
My first real “Ute”! Rancheros and El Caminos technically fit the description, but have never been called Utes in North America.
And an awesome Mopar. Hemi! Stance! Flames! Rear-window Louvers! Shaker Scoop! What more could you want?
Oh, right, a beer. Best test-drive that cozy right away! It is, after all, stinking hot & humid here in the Northern Hemisphere’s summer — perfect beer weather (of course, any weather is perfect beer weather).
And then DLM that awesome Ute and the ‘Cuda!
