Sunday Flea Market Hawl - DLM #3

Today’s DLM is a ‘63 Corvette, #4 of 4 from the Hot Wheels 2002 Corvette Series. This release of the Split Window Coupe casting is in Red enamel with black rocker panels with “CORVETTE” in white and a black hood bulge with “SIXTY-THREE” in white.

This one is getting a wheel swap; IMO, these 3-Spoke wheels suit the Corvette casting horribly. The only casting these wheels should ever have been used on is the 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10, which actually featured 3-spoke wheels on the 1:1 (again, IMO ugly on the 1:1, but it’s what Dodge used, so it is what it is). Funniest thing is that on the majority of the variants of the ’93 RT/10, HW did not use the 3SP wheels...
