Seeing all the 4th of July posts, I thought I’d offer up my own take.
When I saw the insane brown Monza from the Silhouettes set, I fell in love. After some research I found out that HW released this casting three times before. Two of them really didn’t speak to me, but I just had to have this one.
Being a child of the late 70s, the era holds a certain fascination for me. The weird mix of patriotism and malaise just seems like a great dichotomy. And that’s why this obscure mainline that looks like an egg laid by Sam the Eagle has jumped to the top tier of my collection.
