Custom looming...

So I've been wanting to get in on this custom action and have been trying to figure out what to do.

Well I came up with what I'm gonna do.

First off, it's going to be my first hot wheels ever.

I have memories of this guy when I was 4. Only mine is seriously wrecked compared to that pic. Paint is dinged up, no windshield, no roll bar. Hence the customization.

Probably because of this car I am planning on getting a factory five replica some day... when I can afford it.

Now today I was at an air show and my favorite WWII plane did some aerobatics, the P-40. This got me thinking that I would love to have the sharknose paint on my future dream car. Then I thought, why not start small?!

So... back to the plan.

Body: Polished bare metal like so:

Now. To actually get it done I am going to need the customizer's assistance.

Removing the rivets: What size bit do I need? Will wood bits work ok?

Stripping the paint: I saw that some of you guys used pine-sol. Is there anything else that you would recommend?

Polishing: This would be a great excuse to go buy a dremel tool and some polishers.

Painting/Decals: I saw that you guys have the ability to print your own decals? Can I get this at any old hobby store? Also I suppose I will be able to find some sort of lacquer/clear finish there too.

Getting it back together: Alright... what size screws would I need for this? Any special type of material?

Thanks for your help guys, hopefully in the coming weeks this will be done :D
