Been a while since I've had a legitimate post. Finals are in a couple weeks and I've had my ass handed to me because of it. This is my respite.
Anywho, today I want to showcase one of my favorite HW castings ever. The OG Deora.
I picked up this guy of the EBays after losing a bidding war. I was so frustrated I picked this up without really checking it out. Pretty sure the boards are replicas...they should be rounded and have serial numbers on them.
Looking past that! This is basically a cool over-cab truck concept that was going after that popular surfer vibe of the time (surprise!). They actually made a legitimate concept of it too!
I would totally rock that guy.
Anyways, look below for more pictures. I went for the purple because the spectraflame purple is very striking.
Has a few knicks on most of the edges, but what can you expect from a toy released in 1968!? Yes the Deora is part of the sweet 16 and still lookin good after all these years.
