LaLD Car Week 2018: Silver Bullets

Since it’s Hot Wheels’ 50th birthday this year, I had to include a redline for this week somewhere. Today I’m showing off the Silver Special cars. These were effectively the first RLC cars ever. A special mail-in promo for the Hot Wheels Club would luck you one of these. Since it was a bit random which one you’d get, I included all three.

This was the first time the Boss Hoss was seen (1970) and was seen very soon after on the shelves. The Heavy Chevy and King Cuda were made available in chrome very soon after the Boss Hoss for the promo.

Crazy to think these cars are all almost 50 years old!

Hard to get more silver than CHROME ;)
