So most everyone is now aware that Porsche is releasing a new 935 that’s essentially a slightly harder version of the GT2RS with new bodywork and more race-focused. I love the look of it as it harkens back to the original 935's. And who doesn’t like Martini livery.
Well the morning after its debut, I hit the Porsche store at Rennsport Reunion early because the line got insane by about 8am every day. Well when I went in I had planned on getting the Dakar-winning 959 (which will be showcased in a different post....) and saw this on the shelf. I knew I had to grab it. There were 3 left after I got mine, whereas all of the other models were totally stocked. I don’t know if that means this thing is rare, but it was the same price as the 959 Dakar. I haven’t been able to find anything about this model online besides pictures from others who purchased it at Rennsport. Maybe more info will come out soon?
Either way, it’s a 1:43 produced by Minichamps and it is EXCELLENT. Only quibble I have is the quality of the tampos could be a touch better, and the model should have come with the turbofan wheel covers. I was disappointed once I realized it didn’t have those.
Ah well, it’s still a great model. (Yes, it’s sealed resin, but the wheels rotate at least).

Now in that last picture it says 935/19. I don’t know what that means. Maybe it was limited to 935 pieces and this is 19? Maybe the 19 doesn’t mean jack... hopefully we will find out as others share info on their models and maybe Minichamps will divulge a bit as well.
