I just finished this custom Night Shifter and had to share. This was supposed to be another Max Mad custom, but it started veering in another direction as soon as the paint came off.

The exaggerated chop & flares reminded me of the artist Khyzyl Saleem’s work, so I took that rough & ready aesthetic and ran with it.

I ended up fitting it with a set of custom wheels on cut down axles, and doing a lot of detail painting.

It ended up coming out even better than I expected, and was really satisfying to see it come together over a couple hours.

The green fender strakes are the only gloss paint on the entire car, and came out so nice now I want to do another in British Racing Green. Now to track down two more, one to paint BRG, and another for the original Mad Max custom.
