Teutonic Tuesday, military beetle edition

I am snowed in today, so I finished up this little Volksrod.

I minorly modified the body, removing the external hinges and cutting away some of the decklid to show the motor better.

Then it got an olive drab paint, and some new wheels. The front wheels are vintage transitional Superfast wheels from my customized Mercury wagon.

And then I spent this evening doing all the final detail painting.

All together I’m really glad how this one came out. I was going to save it for next Teutonic Tuesday, but it came out so well I didn’t want to wait.
