Diecast? Try Iron Cast!

Yesterday I made the first part of a sand mold for a cast iron pouring class. I’m jumping in the deep end and using an old and battered 1/18 Checker taxi to make a 4-part mold in hopes of making a solid cast iron replica. The odd lumps are molding clay to smooth out areas that would get caught in the mold. The hood area will be part of the front mold.

I have three more parts to make, then i have to cast it. So I won’t know til the end of the month if i worked or not.
