As they shut down the kinja blogs, I just want to say thank you to everyone still here. This was an amazing place full of friendly & generous people.
I know LaLD will exist elsewhere, but none thus far have captured the flavor of the original LaLD. This place rewarded thoughtful long-form posts as much as quick single-pic posts, something that is rare in todays constant-scrolling landscape. I have thought about trying to archive my posts from here, but realized the posts weren’t the important part, the comments and replies were.
So while LaLD isn’t dead, I am still mourning the loss of this particular aspect of it. Thank you again for such a great community that has fed my love and enthusiasm for diecasts.
