You see? It's not my best die-cast anyway, it's some deAgostini 1/43 you get along with some magazine.

It's missing it's driver-side mirror, has some green paint on that side as well.

And according to it's manufacturer it's a freaking 'BMW 1 Series'???? You all know the E26's story of course with it's production planned at Lamborghini, design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, planned V8 or V12, redesigned M30 six-cylinder and finally production at Baur's. There's also that story of the prototypes being removed from the Lamborghini factory in some nightly covert operation, just prior to a hostile 'takeover' of the factory by Lamborghini personnel: the M1 is literally loaded with history. So again (as with last week's 205 GTI): I need a more proper casting for this one.
