Last week I mentioned CK’s diecast store in Berlin. And I did a small ‘hawl’ over there as I was in need of new Minichamps. And I got me a bunch of Mini-Minichamps: the ‘MiniChamps 64’ series.

It’s divided in either road-cars and race-cars, mainly Porsches. Today I’ll show you a few road cars, which are about 3 euros cheaper then the track tools I got as well.

And just look at those details! Despite being 1/64 it even has perforated disks! Only problem is that it’s so tiny I couldn’t tell if it’s really perforated or just a tampo.

As you all know the cars displayed over here (the Cayman got his bigger brother over for a visit: The 911 Carrera 4S) I’ve got very few information to add regarding these Porsches.

And having this ‘newly added scale’ makes me set-up things differently for the shoots. Luckily the guy making these dioramas has a few 1/64s as well but it all is so tiny.

I really need to get something a bit bigger. I could put a few next to each other but somehow he only created these garage dioramas for Japanese brands (the one shown hear is from Toyota!).

I just need to get more distance to get a bigger focal-area. However, I think the shots display their quality correct, just look at that rear window-wiper on this 4S!

Other problem is that all dirt/dust is immediately visible when getting this close/focused. So yes: I’ll try to clean them next time I’m taking pictures.

Lucky for me these come in a boxed vitrine (as all Minichamps do) so not much dust will get a chance to settle on them. I hope.

And as amazing as I find these: those race cars are even more epic. But that’s for another Teutonic Tuesday. Probably next week. Okay, here’s a small teaser shot:

And that one’s ‘sold out’ according to Minichamps. As is the green GT3 RS. I know a (euro) store with that green GT3 RS in stock so if anyone’s interested...
