No need to introduce the 2001 VW W12 Nardò any further as it featured LaLD quite often already. R32Rennsport showed us his 1/24 MotorMax, SN210 has both a 1/18 and a 1/64 and Enginerrrrrrrrr put that same 1/64 on display as well. So if you want to know it’s background start there.
This one however is a 1/64 from Solido.
It’s from the same Solido VW-series of the Karmann Ghia I showed a little while ago. Again a totally premium product, only thing I can come up with (keeping it’s scale in mind) is the color of the wheels. These should have been more grey-ish. They’re flat black here.
That interior and engine bay look pretty detailed, not sure if that W12 is any accurate (not if I compare it to SN210's) but with only one 1:1 ever build hardly anyone would ever notice this anyway.
One thought was expressed in all previous post about the W12 Nardò: It’s a shame VW never made any production plans for it, as it is gorgeous. I agree.
It comes boxed and it’s on a base with it’s name. It’s not a toy, it is for collectors, even the box says so so this should be true ;-)
There’s a white 1st GTI in this series I still need to get. Not much else to tell about this one so it’s gonna be a short Teutonic Tuesday for me.
