I’ve told about the 2CV Fourgonnette before so I won’t bother you with it’s history. But the AK, as it’s internal Citroën code was, was used by a wide variety of companies. From postal services to firede partments, from oil companies to soda brewers.

And I do not know if Orangina is well known globally (it’s a carbonated beverage like Fanta but with citrus pulp) but if there is a soda I relate to France it is Orangina. And I love it.

And yes: These AK’s were painted in bright colors all the time. Often by hand when the 2CV had passed ownership a few times. And eventually ending up in the hands of people creating awesome caravans.

If you look a bit closer you’ll notice the Orangina one to be somewhat older: that one still has the corrugated hood while the Shell one has the curvaceous bonnet.

These models both are from Hachette’s 2CV series, a series of cars I’ve shown before. I haven’t bought any new ones from these recently but looking at these: It’s about time.
