And I’m not sure if this 1/43 Minichamps will match Philip’s AutoArt as that Cecotto Edition really is epic with it’s darker BBS rims, that interior and stuff under the hood, TE71 Xin made that all too clear already last year.
This one ain’t as expensive though, IIRC you could get these for about 35 euros at your local BMW dealer.
It really is nice though, feels way better than the IXO E30 M3 Ring Taxi I showed a few weeks ago.
The AA also looks a bit more real somehow. Seams, paint, all seems a bit thicker on the Minichamps.
No need to dwell on the E30 M3 any further as it is a well known story. And with prices on the 1:1 as high as they are now I will never own one. Especially the very limited Cecotto edition. The last Cecotto Edition I saw for sale was a low mileage (75K kms) one which the owner asked over 80K euros for.
All those fender flares and lines of the E30 work great when playing with that light a bit.
No doubt: The E30 M3 definitely is an icon. So a good start of this new year. One of the shops I visit regularly had these on offer for 25 and when I checked online if they still have it (they don’t) I noticed... The AA Cecotto. For 40 euros! That’s it: I’m getting an extra E30 M3 in 2017!
