Engine week... How am I gonna do that with all those 1/43s and 1/64s? As those hardly show any of the internals. So I needed a plan. And no: this one ain’t the same as the one I did for LaLD Car Week 2018. That was a Norev 1/43 of my Be-1. This is a 1/64 TLV. Which I have two of actually.
The normal Be-1 (on the right) I got way before I got the 1:1 as I have been a fan for decades. The other one on the left my dear pal Jonee brought with him when he visited me last year. And that’s the one with the rear backpack on it’s tail!
And it came in a nice giftset. But I hear you thinking “what’s with that glorious 4-banger, we want to see that!” Well, it actually ain’t that much of an impressive engine with it’s 52hp, nor does it have racy looks with gigantic headers. But okay. Of course I can share the engine of this tiny 1/64.
A 4-banger with an airfilter on top of it. Muscles for the masses.
Tomica just made one mistake and that’s the yellow: it isn’t as bright for the 1:1. Or has mine a faded color? I really can’t park it next to another one to verify now can I?
TLV painted the taillights and normally I’d be a bit disappointed with that but in 1/64 those 3 stacked lights really are tiny so I’ll allow it.
So I was so glad I got my TLV of it, I think it even was in the first batch of TLVs I ever got (with the yellow 911s and the E30 325i). The box Jonee got me is even more lovable so tanks again mate!
Not sure if I’ll be able to trick the definitions of LaLD Engine Week every day but I’ll see how I’ll manage. Enjoy it to the fullest this week!
