Motormax is one of those diecast brands that you don’t think of immediately. Despite this however, they are often a rather prominent model present in the toyboxes of children all across the U.S. (and maybe the globe). I have seen them in the paws of young children at museums and libraries and some LaLD members have even professed their possession of these castings as a child. So today is the day when I will give this somewhat generic brand its chance in the spotlight by highlighting the Motormaxes of my childhood.

Some minute details I noticed on each model:
Funky arm rear wiper on the 300ZX.
Miata hood bulge.
Rather accurate Miata base (I assume, I’ve never seen one in person...) Most of the other castings are on par with this base.
NSX with stolen engine, apparently...
Little protruding exhaust on the Suburban...
Third row seats in the Suburban, Land Cruiser, and Navigator but not the Expedition oddly enough...
Hopeless shot of PT Cruiser interior...

Overall, the Motormax models are a very well-executed, nicely tampoed and extensively detailed addition to the collection at any age, and definitely represent the type of model that is good for collecting, playing, and displaying.
