HAWL: Paying for Lunch with Diecast Edition

Last Thursday, my school had a half-day as it was the second-to-last day of the grading period. Our district gives the teachers two half-days to catch up on grades, meaning that we kids get to go out and have lunch, hang out, and not do homework! Predictably, I went for lunch with my high school friends, not the ones who are attending the middle-college program. We walked over to Boudin as my parents don’t yet let me drive to school, and one of my friends found that she forgot to bring cash for lunch. I graciously covered her bill of $9 before we headed over to the mall for some boba tea. Incidentally, we ended up wandering around Target afterwards when she discovered that she actually had several Target gift cards on her. She offered to repay me by paying for something of my choice at Target, and of course we headed to the diecast department! Ended up with this HAWL, got the latest MBX Exotics pack, the vaunted Mustang with the movable-chin, another SP2, and the Hurst Olds resulting in a total of $9! Perfect way get repaid in my opinion!

Gorgeous color, and the orange pinstriped wheels are perfect.

I love the non-symmetric stripe as well as the black-on-tan combo.

Really interesting design feature, works well and I can’t wait to see it applied elsewhere!

Nothing beats a classic British Racing Green Lotus. Except maybe if it had front tampos.

The yellow isn’t the best color for this car, but the livery is done well all the same.

I do love the attention to detail here, like the side reflector and the accurate ‘Ford’ side stripe.
