Wait a moment, on second thought, no, you don’t get to see yesterday’s package because today’s not French Friday...it’s Swedish Saturday! So instead, let’s look at some Scandinavian awesomeness!
And what’s more Swedish than a brand-new XC90 towing a last-gen XC90? But wait, I hear you asking, the Welly XC90 doesn’t have a trailer hitch—how can it manage to tow a GreenLight trailer with a MBX on it?
It’s simple, really. This is the experiment which I was referring to a few weeks ago when I bought the GL F-150 Hitch & Tow. Right after freeing the F-150, I took a screwdriver to the base and pried off the tow hitch.
On the plus side, the F-150 looks quite handsome as just a truck. But what about affixing the hitch to something else? Well, I wanted the hitch to be removable so that I could slap it on anything I wanted, so glue was out of the question. Tape was one possibility, but what tape? Scotch tape didn’t work, and I was stumped before I found a roll of this lying around the house:
I have no idea where this is from or what it’s meant to do, but it works beautifully to attach the trailer hitch with enough strength to tow things, but also enough malleability to adjust to the base of just about any diecast. Moreover, it is easily removable to use on other cars as well.
Really, anything is possible now with this tow hitch and roll of tape...
But I digress. It is Swedish Saturday after all, so that Talisman really shouldn’t be here. How about some more Volvos, then?
