Thursday on the Thames: Lightweight Lotus

On this Thursday on the Thames we have three of Lotus’s greatest lightweight two seaters which range from playful roadsters to dedicated track machines. Technically, the latter isn’t strictly a Lotus at all, rather it’s Caterham’s modern-day interpretation of the classic Lotus Seven.

This Elise by Matchbox is of the Superfast line of the early 2000's, fitted with blinged-out rims and superb tampo detailing all around.

The Exige from Matchbox’s sports car five-pack a few years back is excellent in this distinctive shade of dark blue.

And finally, this classy Caterham with the iconic badging down the sides picked out in a striking yellow.
