Today I’ve got somewhat of a small-scale curiosity on my hands! These seven little plastic, pull-back Audis are from a diecast shop in Taiwan that I believe Kimba the Diecast Lover pointed me towards during my pilgrimage to Asia last summer. They are approximately HO scale at first glance, and despite being plastic bodied and pull-back (thus definitively “toys” as such), they are not only quite well-cast and well-detailed, but also interestingly chosen and licensed models as well!
The cars have Japanese lettering on their bases and are numbered as I show them below:
I do apologize for the slightly blurry photo quality—it’s been a while since I’ve been in the lightbox, and this is even smaller scale than I’m normally used to!
If anyone has any inkling of who they may be manufactured by or if they were part of some promotional like the UCC Benzes, please chime in with a comment!
