[CUSTOM] 24/7

I have always been curious to know why the RX-7 FD is released as the 24/7? The FD is probably my favorite Mazda in real-life. Looking back at all the 24/7's released, I must say I do not like any of the colors and/or decal. So following on from my "Black is the new Black" experiment, I decided to add some color to my spray paint collection.

The hardware shop ran out of glossy red so I improvised by first doing a layer of glossy white and then finished with some layers of flat red. I had a spare but chipped Aston Martin from the Retro Entertainment series lying around so decided to sacrifice that for the nice-looking rims which is quite similar to some of the ones I have seen on real-life RX-7's.

The results for this simple custom turned out better than expected. I like to think that it could pass for a Super, so it now sits on my shelf next to my Rrroadster STH.

But I think I have stumbled onto dangerous territory with customizing as now when I am at the shops looking through the pegs, not only do I look at cars I want but also at potential color-changes, wheels, etc. What happened to the good ol' days of just grabbing what I liked?
