Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune

Here we have the Tomica Premium and the UCC Nissan Works version of the GT-R, side-by-side. The Tomica one has been featured on here a few times but I don’t believe I’ve seen the UCC version. This is one of five Skylines from the Nissan Works collection, which apparently were given out with cans of coffee in Japan. When I was in Japan a few years ago, I picked up a 1/87 pull-back Lotus Espirit from a can of coffee I purchased at a 7/11, so I guess these Skylines would have been given away in a similar fashion. (I bought my collection off eBay for a reasonable price).

Anyway, the Tomica Premium is, as usual, spot-on in terms of quality and details. It even comes with opening doors. The UCC one is about half the weight of the Tomica one but is quite detailed, with the exception of blacked-out windows, saving the need to detail the interior.

I’ve been playing around with the online image editor, Pixlr, in hopes of enhancing my iPhone photos so it’s a little bit fancier. One day, I’ll take out the DSLR and start taking better photos, but in the meantime, enjoy these grainy shots.
