Hi everybody!
This is my first post. So let me introduce myself to you guys. I am Pete I am a 6'4" big lug just around 250 lbs. I like small cars. I drive a 1991 VW Golf and a 1997 Honda Civic. I also like hot wheels, matchbox, and any other die cast cars that I think are cool. So that means I also have a bunch of off brand stuff. As a kid I loved cars and my father and mother was willing to indulge me by getting them for me. Then I stopped for a while not sure what happened... but in the early 1990's Zellers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zellers) had a sale on hot wheels one Christmas. The sale was 32 cents a car. My mother told me about it and got my father to go with me, well what happened was we got one of each car and that is what jump started my collecting.
The way I collect is if I see a car I like and fits in my budget I get it. I try not to get doubles (i.e. if I have a RX7 in red I do not get the same casting but in yellow because I already have that RX7) I also open them and handle the cars because it is fun.
