Hi Everybody!
I picked up some taxis and now I have a small fleet of two! One is a Matchbox checkered cab the other is a Toyoda Crown black cab from Japan made by Tomica! They are both from the main lines of each about 1:64 scale. The Tomica is cool because I got the last one out of the display case and the store still kept the box for it so I have the home also. This cast was made in 2007 or so says the base. It is all metal base and body and no painted on “glass”! Only the back passenger side door opens, cool because taxi. The door also is part of the back fender.
Now the matchbox. It is a checkered cab just a big sedan for lots of space for the people that need a cab. The cast has no opening stuff but it is a nice cast with lots of detail on the body and base. I also find that the proportions are just right on this one.
