After seeing samanosuke817’s disappointing post last night about the jerk hoarding all the Redlines at Target, I decided to go by the Target near my office on my lunch break earlier to see if they had even bothered to stock them yet. Typically this Target is the last store on Earth to stock things, so I didn’t have my hopes up. The first thing I saw when I turned down the aisle was exactly what I expected; basically barren pegs for the mainlines. Nothing but a few unwanted fantasy cars from the beginning of the year and a pretty empty dump bin underneath. I honestly don’t think they’ve restocked mainlines in months.
I was pretty disappointed and was about to leave when I just happened to see, pushed back a little bit next the pegs of color changing HWs, were three pegs with Redlines! And right up front was the Skyline!!! Oh happy day!!! As many of you know, I’m a bit of a Skyline fanboy, so finding that one was great. And it was the only one left too. They also had a few Chevelle Wagons, a Ford pickup or two and some Copper Stoppers, but that was it.
Hoping my good fortune would continue, I went on to WalMart in search of the Heritage series, but they still haven’t been stocked yet, so I’ll just have to keep waiting patiently. I did see some of the Tom and Jerry cars mixed in to a dump bin, but I don’t really care for those so I didn’t pick any up. If anyone’s looking for them, let me know, and I’ll try to go back by and see which ones they have.
