Tale Of A Target HAWL

After the wife and kids and I went out to dinner with my mom, we decided to go walk around Target to help burn off a little of what we ate. Apparently they had just restocked the Hot Wheels section today. I saw the standard Z4 on the front of a couple of the pegs so I was excited hoping that there might be a Super hiding somewhere in there. Unfortunately there was no Super to be found. I did however find the standard Treasure Hunt Bad Bagger. And of course I had to grab the super awesome Shark Bite (with working JAWS action!) and the standard release Z4 M.

Later, as we were checking out, a younger guy, who seemed to be dressed as a Target employee but without a name tag, got in line behind us and started unloading his basket. I noticed he put a few Hot Wheels on the belt, but didn’t really think much of it (the two of the three I could see were the white Charger Hellcat and the Batwing).

As I was putting our bags in the cart, the cashier began ringing up this guys stuff. I happened to look up right as she was flipping over the third Hot Wheels. I didn’t get but a quick look, but I swear it had to have the been the Super Treasure Hunt Batmobile!!! This case wasn’t even out on the pegs yet!!! The guy had his headphones in, so I didn’t say anything to him. But my assumption is that he works there and is going through the cases in the stockroom and snagging the Supers before they ever get put out on the pegs. I was slightly perturbed by this, but then realized I would probably do the same thing if I were his position (no shame).

Anyways, I’m still happy with my finds. Plus, this isn’t the Target where I usually find my Supers. That one is over by my office, so I’ll be paying them a visit first thing Tuesday on my lunch break since that’s when they usually restock. Hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend, and a great regular weekend for my international guys!
