Phew. Today has been crazy. Got to go through those cases at Target on my lunch break and found the Z4 M Super. Then I had to go across town after work to our corporate HQ for a three-hour keynote to kick off a conference we’re having this week. I ended up having to stop at Sam’s for gas on the way back home (otherwise I wouldn’t have made it home). Being that they’re owned by the same company, there’s also a Walmart in the same parking lot. I decided to run in real quick there just to see if my luck would pull up anything else.
And boy did it. JAPAN HISTORICS!!!!! ON. THE. PEGS. I honestly could not believe my eyes. I never thought in a million years that I would see any of these in the wild. The Datsun 510 wagons were all gone (no suprise there), as were the Kenmeri Skylines. I was surprised to the find the Hakosukas though. I personally like that body style better. And I left behind two more RX-3s. Those seem to be the least loved cast in this series.
These will most likely go up for trade in a month or two as I have a full set reserved with androoo in exchange for a full set of the Euro series I have pre-ordered. But until that time, these are gonna have a very prominent display somewhere. A Skyline at the office and one on my shelf at home? Yeah, I like that idea...
I also found out I have an interview for a promotion on Wednesday. So, as if by magic, my luck seriously seems to have pulled a 180°. If I haven’t used up all the good luck, I think this might finally be the time to go out and buy that lottery ticket....
