Snow. It’s not something that happens in Charleston, or coastal South Carolina in general. We get the occasional slush on the ground every year or two, but nothing real that sticks or lasts more than a few hours. We haven’t had actual snow since 1989. This year however, we got REAL snow. Like 7 inches of powder. Ice on everything. Heck, at one point it was warmer in Anchorage, Alaska than it was in Charleston, SC. I guess Iggy and Mrs. Claus got Heat Miser and Snow Miser to make a deal. It shut down the entire tri-county area since we don’t have snow plows or stuff to treat the roads. And it stayed that way for 5 days until the temperatures got high enough, long enough, to melt most of it.
Needless to say, I didn’t have to go into the office and got to spend lots of time outside enjoying this stuff I know nothing about! And I of course took a few inclement-weather-appropriate diecasts with me. Enjoy the pics!
