[HAWL] HUMONGOUS HAWL

Went to a different Walmart than usual, and they had two big bins that were rather different than usual.

One bin was rather small, but deep. The other was just as deep, but larger and divided into three portions.

What was in the bins was a massive mixed bag...or should I say, a mixed bin.

Loaded up with various early and late 2014 models and B and C batch 2015s, plus Batman and Holiday Rods.

So, what did I get? Lots.

Let's start with three 2014s.

First, Altered Ego. Wanted this one for a while, finally got it.

Another one I wanted but didn't get until now, the '71 Ford Mustang Funny Car.

And finally, something I've been trying to find for a long time, the TV Series Batmobile! I actually found at least a dozen between both bins.

Now, to the 2015s. I ended up getting 19 of them, making this one of my biggest HAWLs to date.

Here's the rundown, organized by how they're numbered in the 2015 mainline.

And lastly, during some grocery shopping, I found some HW and Matchbox cars on sale for 88 cents, and couldn't pass up this Austin FX London Taxi from the 2012 MBX Old Town series.

So, all in all, a 23 car HAWL, bringing my total diecast collection up to 289.

Once again, completely struck out with Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts, and there were no unopened cases to go through, either.

Another collector who was digging through the bins as well actually told me a friend of his, who also collects, actually picked up a 2014 STH '70 Chevelle (the purple Summit one) earlier that morning.

Talk about a bummer, but I'm certainly happy for them, he's got something that's gonna be very valuable.

That's something we as collectors do, we don't get upset if someone gets a STH before we do, we congratulate them on their find and hope to be lucky next time around.

Maybe in January I'll have some luck, who knows. I'll make sure to bring my camera next time to document on the bins and pegs.
