More 2015 Mainline First Looks!

After yesterday's looks at recolors of the Grand Sport Roadster and SRT Viper GTS-R and first look at the '15 mainline version of the '63 Studebaker Champ, two more have popped up on T-Hunted, one being a brand new casting, and a surprising one at that.

The first one is our first look at the 2015 Then and Now version of the '52 Chevy. The corresponding model in the set will be the Chevrolet Silverado (given the 'then and now' theme, it's gonna be the '07 Silverado).

The paint is, once again, red. But the tampos are simple and rather slick on this model. Very nice looking, in my opinion.

Second is the brand new casting, one of 4 'New For 2015' castings in the Street Power set (along with the Urus, M4, and yet to be seen Elmiraj). When the full '15 mainline list was revealed, the name Super Volt was on there.

I figured it was gonna be some less desirable HW original model, mainly geared towards kids, not collectors and enthusiasts.

Well, it turns out that instead of that, it's a more eco-friendly kinda car, more akin to the yet to be seen Tesla Model S casting...

...that's right. It's a Chevrolet Volt. But this one's been heavily modified, with a big motor sticking out of the hood...

...drag racing spoiler, wheelie bar, and parachute in the back.

It's red, as many 2015 mainline cars have been. But I like this because it's not the silver you'd expect on a diecast version of a Volt.

And, good news for customizers, the engine isn't attached to the windshield.

Should be interesting to see what some people will do with this model.

So, what do you guys think?
