This popped up today on T-Hunted, in a post they made about K batch cars up for sale on eBay.
What stands out are these four cars that were at the bottom of the post.
Power Pipes, ‘11 Dodge Charger R/T ‘70 Pontiac GTO Judge, Growler.
I checked my 2015 mainline list...none of them are on there.
T-Hunted says they’re exclusives for an upcoming Kmart Collector’s Day, but K-Day exclusive cars are usually just exclusive recolors of the current year’s mainline models, not cars that aren’t part of that year’s mainline at all.
But the back of this Power Pipes clearly has the K batch code, seen at the very top of the card.
And the eBay listing says absolutely nothing about it being Kmart exclusive, just about being a special exclusive car, in a set of four called ‘Hot Wheels Showdown: The Fast 4’.
Some of you may have noticed that some of this year’s Mystery Models are also being offered on card as well.
Those carded versions are supposed to be Kroger exclusive, from what I’ve read, but I recently saw them in an Easter display at Walmart, which is obviously not a store under the Kroger umbrella.
Maybe these are Kmart K-Day cars, maybe they’re not. Maybe they’ll end up at Walmart and other stores. Only time will tell, once the K cases arrive in stores.
