The official Hot Wheels Collectors site posted the full list of 2016 mainline models...and boy, are there some great new ones coming!

Some of the new castings we already know about, and some here already have.

But there’s also a lot of great surprises in store, too.

First is the HW Race Team segment. The set will include the Custom ‘12 Mustang, C7.R, SRT Viper GTS-R and Lancer Evolution X, along with 4 new castings that are still listed as TBD.

I’d love to see a Ford EcoBoost Daytona Prototype or Porsche 917K in this set, as they would be very fitting.

Next is the X-Raycers segment, which includes the Regular TH Rig Storm and a new casting called Blitzspeeder.

After that is the HW Digital Circuit segment, which includes the Regular TH ‘11 Corvette Grand Sport, Camaro Concept, Ford Shelby Cobra Concept, Honda Racer, and Subaru WRX STi (not a new casting, so not a ‘15), along with a new 2005 Ford Mustang casting, which is a modified one.

Tool-in-One is a pretty slick segment, and will likely be all models that double as something practical, like Carbonator, which doubles as a bottle opener, and Tee’d Off 2, which doubles as a golf tee.

This year’s Super Chromes segment will actually contain some interesting stuff, as it won’t have any of the RD-0* castings, instead settling for models like Hot Wheels High, Mig Rig, and HW Poppa Wheelie, plus new castings Monteracer and Z-Rod.

Night Storm returns for 2015, just renamed Glow Wheels (Night Storm was a better segment name, IMHO). This will include the new casting Voltage Spike.

Mild to Wild looks to compliment the Then and Now segment, containing 5 stock or ‘Mild’ models and 5 racing ‘Wild’ variants, including the return of the ‘76 Corvette Greenwood and the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, which was new for 2015.

Hot Wheels’ minifig compatible models have proved to be popular, so they’ve created a segment just for them: HW Ride-Ons.

This set will include favorites like Let’s Go, Fig Rig, and Pedal Driver, along with two new castings: Grass Chomper, which is a minifig compatible riding lawn tractor, and the self explanatory Minecraft Cart (you know, the minecart from Minecraft).

The HW Exotics segment will be a very popular one, with great existing castings like the McLaren P1, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, and Cadillac Elmiraj being joined by three new models: the ‘17 Ford GT, ‘16 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and Renault Sport RS.01.

After that is the Night Burnerz segment, which will include 4 great existing castings: Driftsta, ‘69 Charger 500, Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, and the mainline debut of the ‘85 Honda CR-X, plus 6 new castings, including a HW original: Night Shifter, the new Ford Shelby GT350R, the ‘16 Ford Focus RS, and the Acura Integra GS-R, plus two more TBD ones that COULD be more licensed models or HW originals.

Maybe a European or American sports car. Either way, both of the TBDs in this segment are also New for 2016.

Following that, we have the HW Flames segment that has already been completely revealed on the HW website, on the page where you add your cars to your digital collection.

The fourth page starts off with the Then and Now segment, which includes 2 Aston Martins, 2 Corvettes, 2 Mustangs, 2 Challengers, and two NSXs, including the expected 2016 NSX production model (which could spell the end of production of the 2012 NSX Concept casting, though the 2006 Camaro Concept casting is still in production and will be in the HW Digital Circuit segment).

Below that, we find the HW Showroom segment, which will feature popular new for 2015 castings like the F-Type Project 7, VW Caddy, and Great Gatspeed, plus new castings like the Porsche 356A ‘Outlaw’, Hi-Roller, and the Aston Martin DB10 from the upcoming 007 film: Spectre.

Other new castings in this segment include Gazella GT (which is probably an HW origial design, and not a typo that’s actually supposed to be a Gazelle or Amante GT by Hebina Plastics from Santa Clara, California), Side-Ripper (another HW original which has already been revealed), and one more TBD casting.

Next is the Muscle Mania segment, which will include the new for 2016 ‘63 Chevy II and ‘15 Dodge Charger SRT castings, a new HW original casting called Muscle Speeder (which sounds like a combination of parts of the names of D-Muscle and Project Speeder, which, if this casting is anything like those two, should be pretty cool looking), plus some more awesome classic and modern muscle.

HW Moto returns as well, packing two Ducatis (the 1199 Panigale and Diavel), two HW originals (Fly-By and Bad Bagger), and a new casting that might draw some serious attention: the Honda Monkey Z50.

After the Sky Show segment (Cloud Cutter, Skyfire, 4ward Speed, Jet Threat 4.0, and Mad Propz), we have the already revealed HW Hot Trucks segment, including the ‘17 F-150 Raptor, Custom ‘72 Chevy LUV, and Dawgzilla new for 2016 castings.

Next is the HW Daredevils segment, which will, along with some HW Originals, will include the Toyota Off-Road Truck, Custom Ford Bronco, Olds 442 W-30 (which, given the Daredevils name, will have off-road wheels instead of donk wheels), plus three new HW originals: Terrain Storm, Tanknator, and the Cruise Bruiser demo derby wagon.

HW Snow Stormers looks pretty cool, with the ‘12 Ford Fiesta leading off a small 5 car segment that also includes Hover Storm, Ice Shredder, Snow Stormer, and So Plowed.

HW City Works will include two new castings: Time Attaxi (a taxi that likely fills in Cockney Cab II’s slot from last year) and Crate Racer, plus the Austin Mini Van.

We’ve all likely seen the whole HW Speed Graphics segment by now, which will include the Falken 934 Turbo RSR and a new casting, the Nissan Fairlady Z, which is a tie in with the new Need For Speed game.

Fans of the car brand from Bavaria will love this next segment: BMW.

This 5 model set will include the 2002, the K 1300 R motorcycle, the Z4 M, M4, and a new casting, the 3.0 CSL Race Car.

HW Art Cars doubles in size for 2016 and is dominated by licensed models like the Chevy Silverado, Morris Mini, ‘65 Impala, Custom ‘69 VW Squareback, Chrysler 300C, Custom ‘77 Dodge Van, and ‘07 Ford Mustang, along with Combat Medic, the return of Boom Box, and Muscle Tone.

Street Beasts also returns, with half of the models returning from last year’s segment of the same name, but with the additions of Vampyra, Speed Spider, and three new models: Turbot, Shark Bite, and one TBD one.

Unlike Art Cars, the HW Rescue segment is mostly HW Original, with the exception of Humvee, ‘10 Camaro SS (with light bar), Chevy Blazer 4X4 (which is likely the mainline debut of the ‘70 Chevy Blazer casting, as the old Blazer 4X4 casting was discontinued), and the Dodge Charger SRT8, but HW Rapid Responder (recently released in Retro Entertainment Emergency! form) is also there, along with what was probably one of the best HW original designs of 2015: Backdrafter.

4 of the 5 HW Screen Time models have already been revealed: the BTTF Hover Mode Time Machine, the Super Mario Cool-One, Grease Rod, and Snoopy, but one of them...only know of one hint...’beatles’...has not been officially revealed, but is rumored to be a HW version of the Yellow Submarine from the 1968 film of the same name and the song it was based on.

Along with the new Batmobile from Batman v. Superman, this year’s Batman segment includes The Bat from The Dark Knight Rises, the George Barris Batmobile, the Batmobile from The Dark Knight, and the Arkham Knight Batmobile.

The final page consists of three segments: HW Games, which seems to be a replacement for the All Stars segment, and also includes two TBD new castings, HW Green Speed, which has the two HW Teslas, the Model S and Roadster, Super Volt, Power Surge, and a new casting, HW Formula Solar, and Dino Riders, which is a dino themed 5 car series, with all 5 being HW originals.

So, that pretty much sums up the 250 model 2016 mainline. There’s still 13 TBD models on that list, so there’s still more to look forward to being revealed in the near future, so keep an eye out.

As for the whole set, what’s your opinions? Anything you’d like to see fill in those TBD slots? Disappointed a certain casting didn’t make the cut?
