As we all know, 2017 has been a pretty good year for diecast, and 2018 is already looking to be one of the best we’ve had in recent memory.
Next year is not only the 50th anniversary of the Hot Wheels brand, but it’s also the 65th for it’s corporate brother, Matchbox. It’s also the first full official year of Majorette offering their products in the US (last year wasn’t full, nor completely ‘official’).
Around the web recently, there’s been some really good stuff popping up, let’s take a look, shall we?
The Lamley Group has been teasing some models from the first four assortments from 2018, cases A through D.
If you thought the recently released R33 Skyline GT-R was awesome in blue, wait until it comes out in the iconic Midnight Purple (or something close) later in the 2018 lineup.
Also, the Nissan Fairlady Z (see the 2017 Q Case STH in Yokohama/Advan livery) returns for 2018, wearing the now familiar GREDDY white, blue, aqua and orange livery, joining the Race Day 962, 180SX Type X, and Datsun 620.
Volkswagen fans, get ready. The Beetle GSR will be available in the US next year...
...along with the Dubai Police models (which also includes the G-Wagen, which will also be offered in yellow and black non-police versions).
Next year is shaping up to be a stellar year for collectors...but we already knew that. This is just more proof.
