I want to pick some of your brains about painting techniques. A few weeks ago I tried my first two-tone paint job and it was pretty good. Which leads me to the questions I have.
Who uses primer before they put the color on? Most of the new paints have primer in them. I haven’t in the past because the paint becomes too thick and takes away from the detail.
In terms of painting a cast with stripes or two-tone what are you all using to mask the car? I’m going to make a replica “Big Red” camaro that is red with white racing stripes.
Who uses gloss paint vs a separate clear coat?
I will take any other pointers since I'm still new at this.
