2018 LaLD Car Week: Sunoco Blue

One of the most famous Trans-am racers was Mark Donohue and his Penske/Sunoco Camaro. In 1967 Penske and team acid dipped the body of the camaro to save weight and then had to install a full roll cage in the car to build back the rigidity. This 1969 Camaro is from the Hot Wheels 100% Pony Wars set that came with the Parnelli Jones boss mustang. The color is not as dark as the original car and the chrome has started to fade. Overall this is one of my new favorites in my collection. Thanks for the votes.
