Though hardly the sporting icon that its predecessor (the Type 105) was, the Type 116 Alfetta coupes have developed a reputation as one of the finest-handling GT cars of the 1970s and 1980s. To my eyes, it’s also one of the prettiest, thanks to a graceful Giugiaro design that favored clean lines over some of the era’s more flamboyant tendencies.
