The calendar has flipped a page once again, so it’s time for this month’s LaLD/Model Citizen Model of the Month: Kyosho’s 1:18-scale Lancia Rally 037 in Martini livery from the 1985 Monte Carlo Rally. Driven by Henri Toivonen with Juha Piironen navigating, the Group B 037 claimed sixth place overall in that year’s event…a strong finish in the face of more modern all-wheel-drive cars.
Kyosho’s 037 is an absolute gem, packed with detail from nose to tail. Of special note is the faithfully executed rally cockpit, complete with every imaginable gauge, dial and electronic gadget.
