A Mack for Monday

To honor my dad, who drove for St. Johnsbury Trucking until his retirement many years ago, I wanted to include a version of his truck on my train layout. Naturally all I could find were 1/64th scale, so I had to improvise. I found a white Corgi 1/43 scale Mack “R” on the bay, along with a (slightly too-small) Lionel trailer. I re-painted both, then found a guy online who happened to have a set of St. Johnsbury decals. The color accuracy of the decals wouldn’t satisfy the Pantone-obsessed, but it’ll do for a basement train layout!
