Bought this at my local Hobby Lobby earlier in the day. It is one of my favorite 80’s car and this one had been sitting on the pegs for a while. It like all the rest of the GL’s Pontiac Firebirds/GTA’s suffered from the drivers side front wheel not sitting correctly due to poor fitting of the frame to the body of the car. Basically there is too much material in the what would be the underside of the hood area and it does not allow the frame to sit properly. Look at these on the pegs when you see them or heck look at GL’s own promotion pics of the car, I have found they are all like this.
So I decided to attempt a fix and then do some added touches and build the version I wish GreenLight had done. (FYI I do believe they did make a similar version to this in the past).

Had to grind the front as well as the wheel arches
A lot of grinding later:
Wheels and interior painted up. Gold sharpie for the wheels some cheap acrylic paint for the interior & center caps
After rebuilding/gluing it all together and throwing on a coat of wax here is the end result:
