Dale Earnhardt Sr was one of the baddest men to step behind the wheel of a racecar in the modern era of nascar. My favorite driver of all time he was a cross between local track legend, wild west gunslinger and charging bull. When I first started watching nascar back in 89 I had the pleasure of watching this icon win a few of his 7 championships and a place in nascar history. The 7 cup club is small indeed with him and Richard Petty being the only other (hopefully maybe Jimmie Johnson as well)! Here are his and his son Dale Jr’s 2000-2001 cars and you can see a bit of the old man in jr since he started racing cup in 2000.Here’s to drafting at Talladega and never lifting!
