The fortunes have favored me today. I went to the San Diego swap meet, to chase the dragon. No, that means hunt for die-casts. The first stop in the back forty was a spot that had five or six large plastic tubs of carded HW and some MB. Most in the 97-99 era, although some were earlier or later. I will feature those finds in another post later. So, having felt I sated the urge, I continued to wander, and came across another stand with loose and carded cars. Then I saw this:
An Impy Road Master VW Kombi!!! Just sitting there, minding its own business, and my eyes swept across it, and locked on. I immediately grabbed it up, and continued to hunt through the other goods.
tl:dr, went to swap meet, scored Impy road Master VW Kombi. all is right with my world today. Enjoy the photos.
Front looks a little misshapen on the passenger side. And, oh,yes, stuff opens!!
Bench seats all the way back. No camp table.
Rear hatch AND engine cover open. Some engine detail, totally missed by my iPhone. Extremely skinny tires.
Also has the “steering” feature a lot of these Impys have. A fine addition to my three-car collection of Road Masters. You may remember the Silver Cloud from a BaDT post I had made. The Jaguar has not been featured yet.
